What This Journey Is About
This is a 10-day small-group journey through France designed to feel relaxed, beautifully paced and easy from the moment you arrive.
Beginning on the French Riviera, the journey follows the Mediterranean coastline before moving into the villages and countryside of Provence, continuing north to the vineyards of Champagne and finishing in Paris.
Rather than constantly changing hotels, we stay longer in fewer places, allowing time to properly settle in, unpack once and experience each destination beyond its highlights.
Throughout the journey, accommodation has been thoughtfully selected to reflect each setting, from elegant coastal stays on the Riviera and a beautiful Provençal retreat to a boutique hotel in champagne country and a final stay in Paris.
Days balance curated experiences with unstructured time to swim in the Mediterranean, wander village markets, linger over long lunches, explore local streets, enjoy a glass of wine in the afternoon sun or simply do very little at all.
Along the way, experiences have been designed to feel immersive and specific to place without filling every hour of the day. Think coastal walks overlooking the sea, mornings spent exploring Provençal villages, champagne tastings among the vineyards and evenings wandering through Paris as the city begins to glow.
Private rooms are included throughout the journey unless travelling with a friend and choosing to share.
Every detail, from the hotels we select to the way we move between regions, has been carefully considered so the experience feels seamless, comfortable and effortless throughout.
Hosted by Paula Fletcher, founder of Lido Atelier.
Why We Chose This Place
France has a way of making ordinary moments feel memorable.
A morning coffee in a quiet village square. A swim in the Mediterranean before lunch. Fresh market produce carried home in a woven basket. An afternoon spent wandering streets with nowhere particular to be.
For this journey, we were drawn to regions that capture the essence of French living while still allowing space to slow down and properly experience them.
The French Riviera brings together beautiful coastal walks, seaside towns and the simple pleasure of spending time beside the water. Provence offers vineyard landscapes, village markets and long lunches beneath the trees. Champagne provides a chance to celebrate and indulge in one of the world's most iconic wine regions, while Paris brings the journey to a fitting close.
Rather than trying to see all of France, we've chosen a small number of places that each offer something different, creating a journey that balances coast, countryside, culture and connection.
Together, they reflect many of the things we value most at Lido Atelier beautiful surroundings, time outdoors, memorable conversations, local experiences and the opportunity to slow down and enjoy life a little more fully.
